This is by Jules Cheret. This poster was created in the 19 century and is entitled "La Gomme". One common feature I am seeing between each one of Cheret's artworks is that he uses a variety of bold, bright colors. However he also compliments the colors with shades (or some other form) of black. I really like this one because I think it shows both sides of male and female. The men being in the black and women in the lighter colors. Each color balances the other and I just think the people look so lovely.
